Iksan Holy Land
Iksan Seongji refers to the area where the Central Headquarters of Won Buddhism is located at 344-2 Sinyong-dong, Iksan-si, Jeollabuk-do Province, where Won-Buddhism opened its doors and began full-scale edification activities.
Here, there are Daegakjeon where Master Sotaesan often held banquets, public hall where Ilil Hakrim, the predecessor of Wonkwang University, was located, and the main office where Master Sotaesan presided over, Jongbeopsil, Geumgangwon, Sinjeongwon, and Gujeongwon.
In addition, there are various historic sites, relics, and historical materials, such as the Seongtap where the relics of Master Sotaesan and Master Jeonsan are enshrined, Yeongmojeon Hall, and the Consular Museum.
The Central Headquarters, where the historical traces of the early church are preserved, includes the head priest who presides over the church, the janitor’s association, the highest decision-making body, the Correctional Institute, the supervisory body, and the Central Church Council, the decision-making body. There are cultural institutions and various welfare facilities.
